As a Controls Designer, you’ll play a key role in designing and implementing automation control systems for high-performance manufacturing environments. What We’re Looking for in a Candidate:
Associate’s degree in a Controls Technician, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field
3+ years of experience in control system design, electrical schematics, or automation integration
Strong proficiency with CAD software and electrical design tools
Familiarity with NEC, UL standards, and industrial safety regulations
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments
Strong communication and project coordination skills
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and update control systems for manufacturing and automation equipment
Create detailed electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics using CAD software
Integrate control systems with mechanical and electrical engineering components
Support equipment commissioning and perform system startup troubleshooting
Conduct testing, inspections, and updates to meet safety and industry standards
Train operators and maintenance personnel on control system functionality
Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and project teams to ensure seamless project execution
Identify opportunities for control system optimization and continuous improvement
Stay current with advancements in automation and control technologies
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Accuracy and completeness of control system design packages
Timeliness of project deliverables and commissioning
Reduction in downtime or rework caused by control-related issues
Successful integration of controls into cross-functional designs
Positive feedback from operations and maintenance teams
