Reports To: Chief Executive Officer, Lone Star Management
Position Overview:
The Venue and Events Development Manager is responsible for driving revenue and community engagement through the promotion, booking, and coordination of events at the newly renovated Camptown facility. This role will serve as the primary point of contact for local organizations, businesses, promoters, and community groups looking to utilize the venue for public or private events. The ideal candidate will blend strategic outreach with operational oversight to activate the space year-round.
Key Responsibilities:
Market the Camptown venue to potential clients for a variety of events including festivals, markets, races, concerts, expos, fundraisers, and private events.
Identify, contact, and negotiate with prospective partners, promoters, and business groups to secure bookings.
Develop pricing structures, event packages, and rental agreements tailored to different types of users.
Manage the event calendar and coordinate logistics with vendors, city officials, and internal teams.
Represent Camptown and Lone Star Management at community and networking events to build awareness and relationships.
Collaborate with marketing teams to promote events via social media, press releases, and community outreach.
Oversee event setup and teardown processes to ensure a quality experience for all attendees and renters.
Track performance metrics such as event attendance, revenue, and repeat business to evaluate success and guide future strategy.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree: Hospitality or Event Managment, Business Management, or Marketing and Communications.
Prior experience in event planning, venue management, or business development.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings as needed for events.
Familiarity with local and regional markets in Southeast Kansas and surrounding areas.
Comfortable working independently with a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset.
