We're Hiring: Health & Safety Manager

Location: Blue Valley Community Action Partnership – Children’s Services
Status: Full-Time, Exempt

Are you passionate about creating safe, healthy environments where young children and families thrive? Join our team as the Health & Safety Manager and lead critical services that support the well-being of pregnant women, infants, toddlers, and preschoolers across our Head Start and Early Head Start programs.

What You’ll Do:

  • Oversee and coordinate comprehensive health, mental health, nutrition, and safety services across multiple sites

  • Supervise a dedicated team of health and safety professionals

  • Provide training, consultation, and expertise to staff, families, and community partners

  • Monitor compliance with Head Start Performance Standards, state licensing, and agency policies

  • Promote reflective practices and staff well-being initiatives

  • Build strong partnerships with health providers and emergency response teams

  • Support children and families with health-related needs, from screenings to medical treatment plans

What We’re Looking For:

  • A nursing background is highly preferred (LPN or RN)

  • Strong leadership and supervisory experience

  • Working knowledge of early childhood health and safety standards

  • Ability to balance administrative tasks with hands-on service delivery

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
