Inventory & Shipping/Receiving Specialist

Location: Omaha, NE

Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Compensation: $20–$25/hour (based on experience) plus bonus opportunities

Peerless Energy Systems is seeking a motivated Inventory & Shipping/Receiving Specialist to join our growing team.

This role is essential to ensuring our service operations run smoothly by managing parts, inventory, and logistics across our 3 facilities. You will collaborate with technicians, coordinators, and managers to maintain accurate inventory, support service jobs, and provide excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support service technicians with parts required for upcoming jobs.

  • Stage, check in, and restock parts daily to maintain accurate inventory.

  • Manage warehouse and inventory control processes, ensuring organization and rotation of stock.

  • Handle shipping and receiving, including loading/unloading trucks using forklifts and pallet jacks.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and parts department.

  • Tag and store new equipment and customer equipment properly.

  • Monitor housekeeping, safety, and facility upkeep.

  • Participate in training as needed and contribute to SOP improvements.

  • Assist with the ordering of stock items.

Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and customer service abilities.

  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency with computer systems and CRM software.

  • Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain).

  • Prior experience in inventory management, shipping/receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $20.00-$25.00/hr. based on experience, plus quarterly bonus opportunities tied to company objectives.

  • Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM.

  • Retirement: 401(k) with a 3% company contribution regardless of employee contribution.

  • Insurance: Two health plan options (Peerless covers 75% of premiums for employee and family), plus optional vision, dental, life, short/long-term disability, and a separate company-paid AD&D policy.

  • Paid Time Off:

    • 56 hours after 90 days

    • 56 hours after 1 year

    • 80 hours after 2 years

    • 120 hours after 5 years

Holidays: Paid holidays include Christmas, New Year’s, July 4th, Labor Day, Memorial Day, and Thanksgiving.

Probationary Period: 90 days per company policy.
