ESC Operations Manager

Job Summary
This position requires a proactive, organized, and results-driven individual. As the Operations Manager, you will oversee daily production operations across fabrication and coating departments, working closely with team leaders to ensure project goals are met. You will help coordinate schedules, manage resources, enforce safety and quality standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Your leadership will directly impact project efficiency, budget adherence, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with CAD & Estimating, Project Management, Fabrication, and Coating departments to align design, production, and finishing goals

  • Develop and manage production schedules to ensure deadlines are met across all departments

  • Oversee daily shop floor activities and workflows to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency

  • Support Project Manager by ensuring all production aligns with contractual deliverables

  • Allocate manpower, equipment, and materials efficiently to meet changing priorities

  • Maintain quality control across fabrication and coating processes; address non-conformances

  • Provide operational input to CAD & Estimating to support accurate project quoting

  • Identify and implement process improvements and lean manufacturing strategies

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards through audits and training

  • Monitor budgets, material usage, labor costs, and overtime to maintain profitability

  • Provide daily production updates to senior management and coordinate cross-departmentally

  • Resolve production issues and conflicts in real time

  • Ensure proper documentation and communication across all operational departments

  • Support a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement

  • Additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications

  • Previous leadership or operations management experience in a fabrication or industrial environment

  • Strong understanding of shop workflows, scheduling, and production planning

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and production drawings

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across departments
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), and production software tools

  • Experience managing budgets and resource planning

  • Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement

  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and adapt to changing demands

  • Clean motor vehicle record and valid driver’s license

  • Must maintain regular and punctual attendance

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship now or in the future
