Job Title: Painter / Assembler – Precast Concrete Livestock Waterers
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Painter/Assembler to join our production team. This role is responsible for painting precast concrete livestock waterers according to the production schedule, operating a forklift, and assisting with assembly using provided plumbing components. Maintenance experience would be a bonus! This is a hands-on position in a growing, family-owned business with strong opportunities for advancement.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a forklift to safely move products and materials throughout the facility
- Paint concrete livestock waterers according to production plans and quality standards
- Properly use and maintain painting equipment (paint suit and equipment provided)
- Assist with assembly of precast concrete livestock waterers as needed
- Install plumbing components and ensure proper fit and function
- Inspect finished products for quality and consistency
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines
Qualifications
- Previous experience in painting, manufacturing, or construction preferred (but not required)
- Ability to operate a forklift or willingness to be trained
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with basic plumbing components
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to lift, carry, and work in a physically active environment
