General Summary
Majors Plastics is 100% Employee Owned, and we are seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead and manage the quality assurance personnel across our Omaha operations. This role is crucial for ensuring that the daily requirements of the quality team are met across all shifts and for providing vital support to manufacturing operations to exceed customer expectations. A strong understanding of plastic technology for injection molding and/or at least five years of experience in quality assurance related to injection molding processes is essential for success in this position. This individual will report to our Corporate Quality Assurance Manager.

Schedule:
Monday through Friday. Start time could be 7am-8am and end time would be 4pm-5pm.
Essential Job Functions
- Support the Quality Management System (QMS) requirements. If necessary, take action(s) to ensure alignment to the QMS is maintained.
- Support the daily quality assurance activities and requirements. Ensure all inspection requirements are met, and generated documentation/reports and physical part samples are properly archived.
- Support the manufacturing system through written procedures, quality alert documentation, and audits of the manufacturing processes and procedures for compliance.
- Provide reporting of various aspects of the quality assurance processes when required to appropriate individuals and/or organizations.
- Provide knowledge, training, and coaching support to direct reports, allowing individuals to perform their responsibilities to the highest level.
- Act as a representative of the quality organization during customer visits or off-site meetings.
- Develop and implement audit procedures that provide a clear, unbiased assessment of the organization’s performance.
- Train and mange direct reports within the quality department. Administer company policies as required and ensure safety procedures are being followed.
- Maintain compliance and current certification for the Class 7 Cleanroom in accordance with ISO14644 requirements.
- Support the organization with other projects, as required.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a quality assurance department within a manufacturing environment. Previous management experience is preferred.
- Experience in gauge control, report compilation, statistical analysis, and problem analysis.
- Experience with ISO 9001:2015 compliance.
- A two (2) year technical degree is preferred. Previous experience and/or education may be considered as a substitute.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Moderate computer skills with working knowledge of MS Windows and Office Suite required. Previous experience with IQMS and statistical analysis software is preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of basic measurement techniques and equipment required. Knowledge of CMM and optical measurement machines (OMM) in a production setting is preferred.
Physical Requirements
1. Normal office environment with routine periods of sitting, walking, or standing.
2. The ability to travel between facilities.
3. Occasional lifting of less than 40 pounds.
