Senior Experienced Tax Preparer – ATAX Omaha
Location: Bellevue, NE (work performed at our Omaha office)
Pay: $20 – $40 per hour (DOE)
Schedule: Full-time; flexible; increased hours during Tax Season
Work Location: In-person (Omaha office)
About the Role
ATAX Omaha is seeking a Senior Experienced Tax Preparer. We are sourcing candidates in Bellevue, NE. Based in our Omaha office, you’ll handle complex tax scenarios, ensure accuracy and compliance, and provide expert guidance to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review complex individual and business tax returns
- Stay current with federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Explain tax matters clearly and professionally to clients
- Identify tax credits, deductions, liabilities, and planning opportunities
- Assist clients with IRS audits, tax planning, and financial strategies
- Deliver outstanding client service that builds long-term relationships
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of tax preparation experience
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations
- High degree of accuracy and analytical skill
- Excellent communication and client-facing abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Experience with tax software (e.g., Drake Tax preferred)
